Sylvania Northview High School Reviews

Northview more than prepared me for success in college. The honors and AP classes I took here were almost more challenging than my college classes. The teachers are amazing- top notch! The student body is diverse and finding a group of friends is easy. There are so many sports, clubs, and extra-curricular activities I can't even begin to name them all. Honestly, Syvlania is one of the best school systems in Ohio and is a great place to live. I'm happy I grew up here.

I hate how this school is full of cliques. Teachers need to regulate bullying in Sylvania schools. This high school was by far the worst. Although I did get an excellent education, I would have been better off somewhere else where people were nicer.

Overall, this is an excellent school. Academics: Very strong academically. Teachers are dedicated and knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. There are many Advanced Placement classes offered here - it offers the most AP classes in the area. The school also has a very strong arts program as well as a renowned music and theatre program. Its choir, band, and orchestra consistently placed in the top and have often placed in states. Its theatre program continues to bloom and has performed for the State Conference many many times. Extracurricular activities: There are plenty of these at Northview. From sports to subject-specific clubs (math club, Science Olympiad), each student is bound to find his/her niche here. Its sports program is generally strong and maintains a lively rivalry with Southview. Facilities: The big negative here. Facilities are outdated and often becomes problematic, but students and staff have learned to overcome this in creative ways.

This is an excellent high school. The curriculum was challenging and the teachers are the best. They know how to teach and do an excellent job of preparing students. The extracurriculars are outstanding. I loved the experience I had at Northview as well. Everyone is nice and the students here are great kids.

One of the better schools and/or school system we've been in. Wonder extracirricular programs, adequate parent/teacher communication and cirriculum with needed teaching tools are available

Exceptional leadership. Involved parent group, sports and extracurricular activities for everyone (including a food club!). Somewhat dissappointed by teachers-halfway through the year and several have not bothered to learn the kids names. Honor classes are not challanging for freshman (my daughter)

This is a good school with a nice environment. The Drama progam is under recognized.
